Two salespeople debate closing a $60,000 remodel in one call. They argue the salesman's job is making it feel easy and affordable. Close rates drop sharply if you're not there in person.
Is there a price point where you all would say no one-call close at that price point, or is it just come hell or high water, it's a one-call close no matter what?
We're all going to answer at the same time.
No.
As for the business, yes, it's obviously more challenging. Your job when you're in a house is to make it easy to pay, make it easy for them to afford. So when you're offering that $60,000, what's going on in their head is, oh shit, how am I going to pay for this? So you have to make it easy for them to buy, and that's got to be part of the experience. Experience. But if you're not there, the odds of you closing it diminish heavily. So get it while you're there.
