Instead of raising list prices, add separate line items like administration and installation fees. This lets you increase revenue while salespeople keep their original price anchors, and customers see added value rather than a price hike.

The salespeople are the biggest problem when it comes to price increase, but there's ways to do price increase besides marking up every item that you have in your price list. They're going to understand. For example, add an admin fee. Put an admin fee in there, explain them, we're growing, we got to hire these admins on, it costs money. They go, oh, I get that. And now there's added value of, oh, they have more people working on my project, the customer will be more taken care of. We also implemented an install fee. That just goes on every single job. And now all I have to do is just change one line item, my install fee or my admin fee, and I just did a price increase. So the actual items don't change, but I can explain to a sales rep so much easier about why we have to now charge more for installation or administration versus why that shower head is now $200 more. You know, we are an added value company. We do not sell on price. When you do business with me. You get a name you can trust, you get an owner, you get a dedicated staff, project manager, W-2 in-house installers, right? We're that added value company that you don't have to worry about your job going south. You can know you do it once and it's going to last you the rest of your life.
