Finding supervisors with niche experience in asbestos or mold remediation is nearly impossible. Instead, hire based on DISC personality profile and thinking style, then develop them internally. You avoid bad habits and build a stronger management layer faster.

I'm having a hard time hiring supervisors because there's not a lot of guys with experience. I'm looking for guys who were previously asbestos, lead paint, or mold, and that, that really kills my funnel. You're chasing your tail and you're never going to catch it. So what you want to do is, is get your org chart set up, figure out these positions, and instead of hiring on experience, you want to hire the right person from a DISC profile to thinking style that matches the job and develop them. If you develop them, you're not ironing out old habits that they bring with them. It's actually faster to do that than to do what you're doing. You want to build that foundation, find that person with the right personality traits, motivators, et cetera. You really want to build that framework. And like Brian said, bring in people and develop them.
