YouTube video by Brian LaManna where he describes six cold‑call opening scripts he A/B tested while working as an enterprise account executive at Gong. He says these six openers helped him self‑source over $3 million in pipeline in 2024; he reads each short script (many request permission to speak or offer a 27‑second pitch), notes that all performed similarly, and emphasizes tone and tempo over exact wording.

Last year in 2024 I self sourced over $3 million in pipeline as an account executive and I used just six cold calling openers. Here are the six that I a B tested. Hi, my name is Brian lamanna and I'm a six times President's Club winner and a current enterprise AE over at Gong. Here's Number one. Look, I know nobody likes a cold call, especially on a Monday afternoon. Can I share with you why I'm calling? Two, this is a cold call. Want to roll the dice? Number three, is it fair if I give you a 27 second spiel? If it sounds interesting, we can find time to talk about it and if not, you can go tell me to pound rock. Does that work? Number four, I'm hyper aware. I'm literally calling you out of the blue. Can I give you my reason for the call? Number five. So I know nobody likes a cold call. Honestly, me included. Is it cool if I tell you why I'm calling and then you can decide if you want to hang up on me or if it's actually worth a conversation? Number six, Is it cool if I give you My absolute best 27 second pitch? If you hate it, you can hang up on me right after. Does that work? Now the really interesting part is they all worked equally well, but it's really fun to be able to mix it up and keep it light. Keep in mind the tone and the tempo is always greater than what you actually say. Now let's book some demos.
