If you're in tech sales and you're on a demo with a prospect, you should try to avoid saying this at absolutely all costs. I'm sorry our demo environment is just a little wonky. This is a great way to zap momentum in a call. Every org has buggy and outdated demo spaces and blaming it on the environment is pretty lazy. There's four ways that you can avoid 95% plus of issues. Number one always write out the exact click path in your notes. Number two walk through that click path start to finish before the demo. 3. Preload a few screens or pages on Other tabs and 4 never click anywhere that you don't know what it'll show. And if you really need to click somewhere that you didn't prepare. Simple as this, pause your screen share and test it out really quickly. This is the definition of control what you can control and it has a huge impact with prospects on what should be the climax of most sales cycles.
