Using AI to Write Follow Up Emails (prompt included)

Brian LaManna shows how to use Claude to turn meeting transcripts into follow-up emails in 1-2 minutes instead of 10-17. Paste a Gong or Zoom transcript into a Claude project with a saved prompt, and it generates a subject line, four key points, four action items, and next steps. Review it for accuracy before sending.

What is up close? One community super excited today. How to highlight how you can take a call that you are a part of and use the transcript. Actually write a follow up email from start to finish for you using Anthropic's Claude. So first things first, go to the actual call that you are a part of. If you have a conversation intelligence platform like gong, go to gong. You can also record it manually in Zoom, Google, whatever else, click into that call within gong. It's on the left hand side, there'll be a. And what you're going to want to do is hit copy all. This could be different depending on which platform you use to record calls. Copy all for the transcript. Now go into Claude. What you'll do is you will go into your project for follow up emails. More on this in just a second. And what you're going to do is you're going to paste that entire transcript in here. Beautiful. Awesome. And it's going to generate it. Four key points, four action items, next steps, a sign off and a short little salutation to start with the subject line. From there you can copy it. Of course you can just physically copy and paste as well. You would go into your email browser and then you would fire it off. So how was Claude able to do this? Let me go back to follow up emails. What you can do within Claude is start what's called a project. When you create a project, what you can do is basically give it a prompt or these like permanent instructions and what I did and I'll share this prompt as well in the info section under this YouTube video. But I wrote out my exact way that I like to write my follow up emails. For example, I look for things like pain points and metrics and goals. I keep it focused to the customer side. I always bold next steps and action items and then I actually gave it an example as well off of what to go through. So I kind of fine tune those instructions, play around with it, paste your transcript in, see how it comes back. Then you can edit as well. You can upload multiple things here on the right as well, but it is a very, very fast and efficient way to pump out follow up emails. I'd say in the past it used to take me, you know, maybe 10 to 17 minutes to write a follow up email depending on the situation. Now it takes me about a minute or two. I'm still going to read through it, maybe make a couple quick edits, make sure that the transcript in the first place spelled things like names or products or any acronyms correctly. But it's a lot quicker to fire off instead of writing it from scratch each time. Hope this was helpful.
