I listened to one of Gong's top strategic AEs on what makes her so great. It came down to team selling and how she works so well cross-functionally. Now, her advice was simple, but it's one of those lessons that just sticks with you. Now, here was her secret: be an absolute pleasure to work with. And she repeated that statement many, many times over. Be that seller internally that others want to help win. And it's all about the little things that add up. Things like prepping them and how they want to be prepped. Doing that prep days in advance of the call, not hours. Asking super nicely for any favors internally, like joining a customer call. Shouting them out in Slack if they're going above and beyond for you. And giving them recognition if and when the deal will ultimately close. Simple? Yes. But most reps don't do those simple things. Successful enterprise selling is team selling. Be an absolute pleasure to work with.
