Lindsey Bomgren's hemoglobin dropped to 4 from overtraining, excessive filming, and poor sleep. Heavy lifting only works if your body is conditioned for it. She advocates for sustainable 20-minute meals and workouts instead of chasing intensity, and emphasizes pull-ups to strengthen the posterior chain most women neglect.

I mean, I love lifting heavy, but I do think it's the wrong question. I think the question should be, is your body conditioned to handle the heavy load? I had a hemoglobin of 4. I didn't even realize that was like capable for myself to be operating at that level. Basically, I just overexerted myself. I had filmed way too many workouts. I was putting way too much pressure on myself, way too much stress, working too much, and definitely not sleeping enough. One recipe usually isn't going to change your life. One recipe is not, one workout, one strength workout is not gonna change your life. But when it's put together in a sustainable resource, in a plan that I can follow, meals I can make in 20 minutes, workouts I can do in 20 minutes, then it becomes a path forward to success. Pull-ups also hit one of the most undertrained muscle groups in females. Females often undertrain their whole posterior chain, which is the backside of your body. I hope this inspires women to see that I hit rock bottom last year trying to do it all. Mm-hmm. And I can't. I can't keep living this way.
