In this brief video, the speaker announces major renovations at the historic El Cortez Hotel & Casino, a 21‑plus casino on Fremont Street that still features coin‑operated slot machines. The 83‑year‑old property will add 10,000 sq ft of gaming space this summer, revamp its ground‑floor bars, games, and layout, and has already refreshed 200 hotel rooms in its tower. The speaker notes a personal stake, operating eight nearby condo units as mid‑term rentals, and expresses excitement about the improvements given the close proximity.

Major updates are coming to the El Cortez Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street. El Cortez is a 21 and over only casino. It's one of the only remaining casinos to offer coin-operated slot machines. This hotel and casino has been in operation for 83 years, and beginning this summer, they are adding 10,000 square feet of additional gaming area. They're also updating the bars and additional games and layout within the ground floor, but they've already updated 200 of the hotel rooms in the tower there at El Cortez, and I'm personally excited about this renovation because it's only a block and a half away from the 8 condo units that I operate as midterm rentals.
