Big B's Texas Barbecue has been operating on St. Rose Parkway in Henderson since 2016, serving traditional Texas-style barbecue with a straightforward approach. The setup is simple. Meats are smoked low and slow using real wood. No shortcuts are taken here. This food is tenderized with time. I ordered the 3-meat plate with brisket, tri-tip, and chicken. The chicken and brisket were both pretty good. But the tri-tip was the star of this plate. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. I almost wish I had just gotten 3 servings of the tri-tip. The sides are familiar and classic— mac and cheese, baked beans, slaw, and cornbread— all standard barbecue pairings meant to support the plate, not compete with it. Big B's is open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, and the atmosphere stays casual throughout the day. People come in, order at the counter, sit down and eat. No frills, no rush. It's the kind of place that sticks to what it knows, keeps the menu focused, and lets their smoker do most of the talking. Leave a comment if you know a Vegas restaurant I should sink my teeth into.
