I'm finally back from Burning Man. You probably read about the news. It was super muddy this year. While I was at Burning Man, I was of course also managing 2 rental RVs. I did rental arbitrage this year. A couple things that I have learned: make sure that you have all the agreements in writing. I had an agreement with the renters but didn't have an agreement in writing with the owner of the RVs, and so there came to be some misunderstandings. So always get everything in writing. I also spent a lot of money and effort on the stocking of the RVs, providing the renters with coffee makers and blenders and all sorts of things that they didn't really end up using or needing. I think it's also important to make sure that you have the drivers lined up. Some of those things changed last minute and it was difficult to get replacement drivers. Then of course the rain and the mud, that didn't help anything. Overall it was a good experience and like I said, I would do it again.
