Here's something that took me a little while to figure out. Did you know that a receipt is basically the same thing as a bill of sale, is also the same thing as a deed when it comes to real estate? So when you buy something at the store, of course you get a receipt. When you buy, say, a car from another person, you get a bill of sale. And when you purchase real estate, a house, then you get the deed recorded at the county recorder's office. So this is all really the same thing. Took me a little while to kind of wrap my mind around it, but once I made that connection, it really helped solidify it for me. Hope that helps you too.
