What is up, YouTube, and all my music artists watching this? This is day 1 of 475 days to making my first million dollars as a music artist. Um, if you guys don't know, um, I own an ad creative agency where I essentially make ad creatives. Ad creatives, basically I make video advertisements for other business owners, but I turn the videos where I would service and I turn into music, rap music to be specific. So on my Instagram, Carson Raps ads. You'll be able to see the type of ads I can make for clients. And as a music artist, that's essentially what I want to create this YouTube channel for— how I am turning my art into income and how I'm going to make my first million dollars doing so by December 25th, 2027. It's done. Time is just waiting to catch up. So in this video, I want to hold myself accountable to the habits that I am planning to install and put in place in order to accomplish this goal of making my first million dollars. It's not going to be an easy feat. I made my first 6 figures online last year at the age of 21, but making my first 7 figures online next year at the age of 23. It's not going to be easy because last— this year has been a little bit down than last year at the same point. Obviously I can end the year off with a bang this year, but nonetheless I'm looking for next year to be an exceptional year just because I've learned so much. And my mentor says the more you learn, the more you earn. So in this video I want to go over the habits that I'm putting in place, the reasons for all these habits, and how it's going to contribute to my goal, just to inspire other music artists if you guys are looking to Um, turn your art into income, make money with your music, not be constrained by Spotify streams, Apple Music streams, but actually have a stream of income that can produce real income for just what you would make from these platforms. Um, so yeah, let's go ahead and get into it. I've been holding to a lot higher of a standard for myself now because if you guys don't have context, I recently got hired as a marketing manager for a consulting company. Um, since my background, my actual like skill sets, my resume is, uh, I actually had a content, a short-form social media agency where I would produce short-form content videos for other business owners. So I'm essentially a content team director to content team manager. Um, so rising on time is important so that I can have as much time to work on my business personally before I start my job. Tracking my weight, important. Tracking net worth, gonna get into that in the next few YouTube videos. I haven't done it right now, but I'll definitely calculate it most likely after I record this Skin, hair, teeth. Doing my skincare, washing my skin, moisturizing with serum, or brightening my skin with serum, moisturizing with SPF. Hair, didn't really do hair today, but you know, I'll count it. Teeth, mouthwash, flossing, brushing teeth. Meditation and visualization. So one thing I have as a superpower for sure that does bite me in the butt sometimes is just like the fact that I have crazy ADHD. Um, it is definitely something that I'm looking to fix by being more present, and I know meditation is a great way to be more present. So what I'm planning to do is at least build a habit for 5 minutes a day. I can meditate, visualize, do better with just like being mindful so I can be more focused and present and not be always creative and brainstorming and daydreaming and things of that nature. So morning forming a recital, I might make a separate video about this. It's basically where I will recite the person that I'm becoming, which is really important. I'm gonna help put you guys on game, all you artists that have been stuck. I've been stuck personally. My income's been flatlined for a long time. But, um, I know, hey, like, if I'm— if I'm gonna make my first million, nigga, you can at least make your first $100,000, and I'm gonna help you get there. Um, basically where you write what you're grateful for, 3 most important tasks, and then your affirmation early in the day. End of the day, it's like highlights and what you learned. 3 hours of acquisition. This is pretty much like marketing and sales for my business. So one thing I, I tell all my clients, and like, it's actually so true for you guys as a music artist, bro, visibility is the best ability. If no one knows you, they can't feel you. You can be the best artist but be the best kept secret. So the person that gets the most attention, like, the people who pay— the people who they pay attention to, that attention will eventually pay them in terms of money. So if you're an artist and no one knows you, that you're not— you're not on social media, you're not running ads to your Like, what are you doing? I have a model which I'm gonna make YouTube videos in the future about, like, what I personally do for my clients to make money through my music without having to go viral, without having to run ads on my music, without having to blow up on Spotify, SoundCloud. Like, I'll tell you guys what I'm doing, but like the habits I'm installing in my own life so that productively I can move myself toward the right direction outside of what I do for work in my business. So I'll put the link in the description just so you guys can see it, and I'll put my Instagram, but I won't dedicate this video video about to that. Job tasks, for people that don't know, like I said, I'm a marketing manager. So I have some job tasks that I did today. Email, Slack, did that. IG, didn't do that today. I could do that tomorrow for sure. Ads for self and clients, I have this on here. It's not pertinent right now just because I don't run ads, but it will be when I do for this new offer. Expenses and income, didn't do that. Very important though. EOD report for job, I'm gonna make one for myself and then submit it to my client. I essentially work with. EOD reports for team, going to need to create those for sure. I'll create those mobile pending leads. I think I did do that actually. I'll just check it. Macros and Trainerize. So for people that don't know, macros, basically like macronutrients. Like for my fitness, I'm really big into health and nutrition. So I track what I eat, I track the meals, and I also track my workouts. So track that today, tracked what I worked out today. Not the exact same. Sets, reps, and weight. But I could probably do that tomorrow because I kind of remember— I kind of have it by memory. But I'll probably do that after I film this video. Accountability on YouTube, this is it. So done with that. Habit tracker, done doing that right now. 5-minute journal, definitely gonna do that after I'm done filming this video. FaceTime girlfriend, read Bible with girlfriend. Now we did not read the Bible together. I did read it on my— because right now we're not really, you know, we're on the— we're on the phone, uh, while I'm actually But we're not talking right now. That's just a whole nother situation. Not gonna get into it in this video. But I did read the Bible. I actually read, uh, I think I actually went to church yesterday. It was a Saturday. And, um, I think it's like one community church in Dallas. It's in Plano. P-L-A-N-O. Don't quote me on the name, but the pastor is really good. Um, he gave a really good message. He said most people are non-practicing Christians. They say they're Christian, they believe in God, quote unquote. They say they do, they go to church, but they don't actually Have their life influenced by what they believe. It's like if you believe— I don't know, if you believe the stove is hot but you still put your hand on the stove, you get what I mean? Doesn't make sense. If you look at Muslims, you look at Islamic culture, like they believe that Allah is God and they wear hijabs. Like the girls wear hijabs even when it's 100 degrees outside. So it really inspired me to get back into reading the Bible. So I was feeling some type of guilt today. And, um, I read Psalms 32:1-5. It says, blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and whose spirit is in no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones wasted away. It's crazy. Through my groaning all day long, for day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. That's real. Admit your sins. Confess. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord, and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Amen. So I decided to, you know, confess unto the Lord what was on my heart that was keeping me guilty. And I feel a lot better reading that Bible verse because I know everything will work out in the end. That's what's— that's what faith is about. So read my Bible. I'm gonna do my 5-minute journal at the end of the day and After I film this video. That's pretty much it for this video in terms of my habits. Hope you as a music artist are really inspired by this. One thing about me is I believe in the power of habits. I have Atomic Habits literally on my bookshelf, as you can see at the top of my screen. You can see it right above the little fake plant. One thing that he says, James Clear, he says, you aren't— your goals don't define your destiny, your systems do, right? Like, if you don't set up the systems to create success, You know what I'm saying? You'll never have success with your systems. Like, uh, if you don't sacrifice for your goals, your goals will be the sacrifice. So I want every music artist watching this, like, if you believe in your music, if you know that you're good at what you do, if you believe that like you are who you say you are, like you have good lyrics, you have a good tone, you have a good syllable, you know how to get attention, but like you don't have the systems in place to make that happen, like you don't actually cultivate your gift that God gave you to write songs, to record songs, to be a, a source of attention? Like, what are you doing? Like, you have this inside you that no one's seeing right now. So this is just inspiration to all the artists watching this. And even if you're not an artist, even if you're, you know, you could be an agency owner, you could be somebody that's just, you know, wanting to grow and make your first million in business. Whoever you are watching this on the other side of the screen, Track your habits. Number one, create like map out your ideal life. That's what I did right here. I might make a separate video of what this morning formula actually is. Once you have that, you can use something like AI like Claude. Claude, go to claude.ai, C-L-A-U-D-E dot A-I, and type in like exactly what your ideal life is and get and tell it what habits do you need to create in order to achieve that ideal life, and it'll literally give you a list of habits. I could have way more than this, but this is just where I'm starting. So hope this inspires you guys. I'm a little tired, not gonna lie. I actually got back from Dallas today, took a flight. Uh, it was about— it's quick, 2 hours. But yeah, I'm tired. Maybe it's jet lag. So I'm gonna go ahead, see y'all later. But looking to start doing this like probably daily, end of day. Like, I, I, I feel like if I post one YouTube video a day documenting my journey and then one YouTube video a week educating you guys on what I do, how I'm making money as a music artist, how I'm gonna make my first million next year, why my clients pay me up to $5,000 for 2 songs. Like, this is real money, bro. Um, how I've made a part-time assist— how I made an assistant salary working 1 hour a week in a year's time frame as a music artist alongside running another business. Like, if I told y'all what I do for real Y'all be like, yo, when's the mentorship dropping? So, um, definitely looking forward to dropping some value on this channel. If you guys like this, you can subscribe for more. Leave a like, leave a comment on some kind— on some questions you have as a music artist if you're watching this, like where you struggle, why, you know, how, you know, with your music. Like not necessarily critiquing your music, but like critiquing why you aren't able to make more income. Like that's my goal, teaching you how to turn your art into income. So whatever questions you have about that you want me to answer in future YouTube videos, let me know and I'll be happy to help. Keep shining, talk to you soon.
