Listen up if you wanna make your networking messages not sound like shit and actually get a response. Hey, try not to make it weird with this cold approach, but I'm looking for work and I thought you might be someone that could help me. If you feel like having a chat, would love to have 5 minutes of your time. I promise I'm not a weirdo. Hey, we both know that we don't really wanna connect here on LinkedIn, but maybe there's something that we can help each other out with. I see that you are focusing on this. I'm trying to find a job. Maybe there's a match here. Hey, I know you get these all the time and you probably won't read this, but if I could get 30 seconds of your time to pitch myself, to see if there's a potential match for me and your organization. I'd love to have a chat. The only way you're gonna get someone's attention is if you at least try to stand out. Don't be like everyone else that is using the same generic reach out template of, hey X, my name is blah, love to connect as we see we have similar interests, would love to connect as I'm looking for roles in this space. They're not gonna get you anywhere anymore. You need to be the one that stands out. And these kind of networking messages are gonna help you get there.
