A lot of subcontractors get treated like commodities. They get just, you know, oh, I'll get a different cheaper one over here, or I'll get another guy over here. And if that's you as a subcontractor, the reason that's happening is you're only known for your price. You're only competing on price. And if that's the case, you are a commodity and you're replaceable. However, if you've got a reputation for being able to complete projects really, really well, and regardless, okay, you might be a little bit more expensive, but they're certain that you can complete the contract and that's your reputation, then you can get away from just pricing. Then you're no longer a commodity. Then they think, hey, this guy, when times are tough, we want to go to guys that can actually complete the work and run a proper business. And that is different. And when you have that reputation, you can charge a little bit more, make a bit more profit, and you get into that virtuous cycle of more profit, more margin, better equipment, better people, and then just reputation continues to increase over time.
