The biggest mistake for subcontractors regarding contractual compliance for me is actually nothing to do with the contract. It's kind of being supplicating to the main contractor, trying to be like, you know, I'm this lowly subcontractor, rather than commanding a bit of respect. And you know, when you negotiate, when you say no to things oftentimes that are over the top, when they're trying to bully you and you push back, that's when they actually do respect you. And they respect you professionally when you do it in a very professional way. Negotiate your contracts well, get your variations in quickly. When you're doing it that way, that's how the big companies do it. They respect that. If you're just rolling over and, can you just get this done, just make sure it's done, and we may or may not pay you. That's how they disrespect you and they just end up pushing you around.
