What Sets Apart the Top Construction Companies

We can see from our clients that the most successful construction companies kind of have two things in common. One is they tend to be private or family-run business, and the second thing is they tend to do one thing. The reason I think that they just do one thing is because essentially the simple scales, fancy fails. And so when people try add on more and more services onto what they're trying to do, it makes it more and more complex and their service kind of tumbles away. If you just do one thing very, very well, you can get really, really good at doing that one thing. And those type of companies tended be the most successful. But the other thing, probably the most important thing, is they have been around a very, very long time.
