Ep. 47: Why You Shouldn’t Be Selling 6 Offers at Once
5 Jan 2026 · 10 min
Claire Sellers argues most entrepreneurs shouldn't juggle six offers at once. She points to Spanx, Amazon, and Drybar as examples of brands that succeeded with limited products, and notes that live masterclasses convert around 50% while self-paced courses convert under 10%.

It takes a lot of experience, support, data, expertise to set up a business model like that. And what's happening is that women who don't have that are looking at that and then they feel like, oh my God, I'm so behind. Welcome to the Prosperous Woman Podcast. I'm Claire Sellers, a business mentor and coach who is absolutely obsessed with helping you create the business of your dreams. And your most prosperous life. Tune in for inspiring conversations with extraordinary women that will propel you towards becoming a prosperous woman. Welcome, welcome. This is going to be a short and freaking spicy episode because I am on one today. I just saw a Instagram post from a coach I genuinely admire say that you should be selling a minimum of 6 offers at all times. Let's get into why this is legit freaking insanity and not the way that we are doing business heading into 2026. And this should be a sigh of relief for all of you because you don't need to do this. You simply don't need to overcomplicate business. So this coach was saying that you need to be selling a minimum of 6 offers at any given time. And then she breaks down what it looks like. You should be selling 2 offers on your stories. You should sell 1 offer in your feed. You should have a low ticket offer that you're running ads to that have— upsells and downsells, and then they should be taking people through an automated email sequence selling another offer mid-ticket. And then you should also be running a past client email list only offer with sales and upgrades. I've read that so many times because it's just— I've written about it and that feels exhausting. Raise your hand if you're like, that is not what I had in mind when I decided to start a feminine-led business. Both of my hands are raised. This is literally everything I do not believe in as a business owner, mentor, future wife, and mom. How the eff am I supposed to run a business being a wife and a mom with doing all that? I don't wanna do it. I don't even wanna do that. Even if I was planning to be single and not have children and I wanted to work 40 hours a week, I still wouldn't set a business up like that. And again, I am so happy for this coach because it works for her and it makes sense for her. And, and I honestly don't think that it's wrong for her to be doing that. The problem is that it takes a lot of experience, support, data, expertise to set up a business model like that. And what's happening is that women who don't have that are looking at that and then they feel like, "Oh my God, I'm so behind. Oh my God, I'm never going to get there. Oh my God." And the truth is, is that you can have a business like that, but you can also have a business that has 1 to 3 core offers that you only sell one of at a time. And you have a very clear sales funnel that's live experience-based. And that's it. So unless— caveat again— unless you have a physical product brand or you're already doing over a million a year with ease, I just do not think that you should be selling more than 1 to 3 offers. Even iconic brands like Spanx, she only sold the classic Spanx for like the first several years. Amazon only sold books until they had hit a certain revenue number, which I'm sure was much more than a million. Drybar, they only did, I think they started with 3 types of blowouts and that was all they did. It was literally just blowouts. Now they have, I just got an email, they're doing a Bowbar, which is a very cute idea. So you do not need more than 1 to 3 offers. I teach high ticket, high touch business, and my work is grounded in really being in real relationship with my clients. And that's why they hire me because they're done with generic advice. They're done with cookie cutter templates. They want strategy that's actually shaped around their energy, their season of life, their vision for business. And I'm more interested in creating a business that will work for decades than helping a woman create a business that can have a few high cash months, maybe a $100K, $200K, $300K a year, and then she wants to burn it all down. I don't wanna help women build that. I can. But it's not in service of our collective mission and our collective purpose, which is really rooted in impact, helping women, helping people. I don't teach volume business because I don't like it. I don't teach get rich quick tactics because it doesn't work long term. And I don't teach people how to build business models where they don't know how to operate every single aspect of their business and they don't know how to turn sales on and off. And I also don't teach people how to build businesses where you are having these super high cash months, which sure, they're fun to brag about, but your expenses are literally the same because you're hemorrhaging money in coaching support and ads and team. If you have an online business, your margin should be 90%. Period. Very few businesses operate at that margin. Mine always has. Why? Because of my Simple AF approach. And if you're listening and you're like, I don't know what she's talking about, but I feel it. I want it. Yes. Then you need to be at the Simple AF Business Summit. It's happening in January. It's going to be absolutely extraordinary. I'm literally breaking all of this down for you and showing you how to peel back the complexity in your business and radically simplify so that you can skyrocket your revenue. It's not just me. I'm bringing in an entire crew of powerhouse women who have truly embodied the Simple AF approach to business. Everything from human design, nervous system regulation, social media strategy. This is a full 2-day head-to-toe glow up for your business so that you can really enter 2026 with a plan, with clarity, and with deep, deep, deep purpose-led momentum. This is what I want to invite you into. If you feel like you need 6 or more offers to create consistent revenue, then your business model isn't serving you. And that's something that we will fix inside of the summit. And statistically, I think that this is interesting. Digital courses converting into a high ticket offer convert less than 10%. Live experiences like masterclasses, summits, challenges, in my world convert around 50%. So let's just like think about it. If you have 6 offers running at the same time and each offer is maybe 25%, maybe one of those 6 is high ticket, like $3K plus, but the rest are low or mid ticket under $500. You gotta sell a lot of courses to hit $10K to $20K months. So let's just look at the simple AF model. If you want consistent $20K months, you can sell 10 incredible soul-led women into a $2K per month, 6-month offer, lock in $20K months for the entire year, having 1 to 2 hours of calls a week, supporting them a couple hours a day inside of a group, whether that's Facebook or Telegram, or— The insanity of selling 90 self-paced 222 products that no one will ever finish and that actually don't make an impact. Which one is the business that you actually want? I'm telling you, one product, one launch at a time, one content focus, you cannot lose. And this is exactly what we're gonna be doing inside the Simple AF Summit. Again, I have gathered some of the leading experts. It's not just me, it is women that I know, love, and trust. I'm bringing them with me. This is going to be truly, truly extraordinary. We are on a collective mission to help you build a business that feels simple and strategic, where effortless 5-figure months are the baseline, and your business feels life-giving and life-changing, not just for you, but for your clients. So if you wanna experience the kind of simplicity that actually scales, you need to be in the Simple AF Summit. The old way of business is collapsing, and the Simple AF way is taking over. I cannot wait until January, and I cannot wait to have you inside. Thank you for tuning in to the Prosperous Woman Podcast. I am so grateful for your presence and for being a part of this community.
