breakdown #1

John Cordero breaks down Adrian's real-time approach to women in a mall, critiquing everything from approach distance and volume to how he asks for contact. He flags mistakes like approaching from behind and relying on Instagram, then explains what worked: teasing paired with observations, personal stories to avoid interview-style questions, and a direct number exchange after building rapport.

All right guys, today I just want to break down a demo live to just kind of see, you know, kind of my mindset in real time. Um, I like that this guy is— just to give you a little precursor, this guy seems like he's in a good spot. I mean, he's in a mall, so there's going to be plenty of women shopping. A good place to just keep going and approaching over and over again. Uh, it's a really good cheat code to really just get out there. And I like this because right From the beginning, oh well, I'll just let it go through.
But how many years old is your dog? Four years. Ah, gotcha.
So right there, he's just talking. You know what I'm saying? And he's not really even showing interest. You don't have to like rizz on every girl that you see, but I like how he's just being social in general because. I'm telling you, and I say this over and over again, but that stuff carries over. And if you can at least have that combo, which most guys are very scared to even have that conversation on the escalator, then it's going to help. And also a little trick that I do, uh, when he says, can I pet? I've said that before, but I've actually like brushed my arm, like brushed my hand on the girl's arm. And it's, it's such a funny turnaround. It's like they just don't expect it. Wow, that's pretty. He's like, can I pet? And then they're like, they're thinking I'm talking about the dog. And then I like pet them. Anyways, it's, it's It's great. That always goes really well. They always smile and laugh like big. So if you want to use that, use that. It might be a bit ballsy for some people, but if done right, it's so good, man. Anyways, but I like how he just talks to her and then he just moves on. I think that's really, really neat. You don't have to try to rizz on everybody you come in contact with. And then he just goes on.
Excuse me, miss. Miss, excuse me.
Um, I'm not crazy about his approach here. One, he's far away. If you're gonna be that— the further away that you are, the louder that your voice has to be. But it's just, it's too much. Um, I'm not crazy about the approaching from behind, uh, for that reason. Uh, if you see my, uh, stuff in the premium package, you'll see like How to really approach, stop a girl in this situation. But basically, yeah, stopping, stopping her from behind is just weird. Also, it also gives her the opportunity, if she's just like in go mode and she doesn't feel social, she can also just keep walking. And then it just creates this weird like, hey, I'm chasing you dynamic. And it just feels weird when you're trying to keep a combo going unless she actually stops. Luckily, She actually stops. Um, I do like how he says it again and he says it, uh, louder and he gets closer. At least he redeems himself and he actually owns stopping her, which is good. So we'll back up and just with that in mind.
Excuse me, miss, miss, excuse me. Hi, I know you're like going somewhere, but I saw you in Zorro. And you're very attractive, so I had to come up and say something to you.
That's awesome. I like how he immediately just makes the observation, hey, I saw you walking, I saw you in Zara and thought you were very attractive. Uh, showing intent right away, really, really good. Highly encourage that. And see her face, like even right now on the pause screen, like her face lights up. Like, women like to have guys show that they're interested. They want to be seen. They, they all feel— they all want to feel Pretty, right? And they want to be seen. So even giving them intent, even if this combo doesn't go anywhere, look at it. Let me look at her face. Like, like you can make a girl's day just by saying that. Okay. Um, but I do like how he opens up, uh, with intent. It's really good.
That's amazing. Are you Russian? You're American? That's very nice of you.
I like, uh, the playful assumption, you know what I'm saying? I, I do that all the time. It's a good thing to do. It's, it's an observation and an assumption, but basically he's like, hey, are you Russian? You know, so it's, it's good to kind of get into that. If they're tan skin, I'll always assume they're a Latina. Sometimes they're Indian or maybe half Asian or something like that, but it's always fun to like assume playfully, and it gets them talking and correcting you, which is good. You want her to invest in the conversation.
Ah, okay. I'm Latin. Country in Europe.
Yeah.
What'd you get?
Makes an observation, uh, really good, and a question at the same time. Uh, like double yes. That's great.
Okay. I see you're clumsy. You ripped your bag.
Really, really good. Uh, saying that she's clumsy is a tease. It's a slight tease, you know what I'm saying? And he also teases and makes an observation. You see how these things get paired, you know, from what, you know, I'm showing you guys. It doesn't have to be this, you know, one after the other after other, but he keeps combining some of these. I think that's super great. And notice how powerful teasing is. Like, she's smiling a little bit more and she's actually adding in more than just like a one-liner answers. So that's why I'm big on teasing, but a lot of guys miss the teasing part. But it's, it's, it's really good. So just want to keep that in mind. Uh, right. I'll back that up just because it's—
yeah. Yeah. How young are you? No, no, no, no. Respect him. If you think you're old, you're old. 28. I'm 26.
He asked, he asked another question. It's not bad. I would probably do like a personal input at that point, like get Like, talk a little bit more than just asking a question. He just asked a question not that long ago. Are you German? This is kind of like a neutral. It's not a bad thing. I'm not going to say he's fucking up, but at the same time, I would probably add in like personal input, like a little bit of like, you know, of why I'm here shopping around. You know, I was looking for this and couldn't find it and it fucking sucks. And I guess I have to try to find some hat another day or whatever it is like you're there for. Like, You know, have a story with it. That way she can have hooks in your convo and what you're saying, and then she could chime in, uh, to keep the convo going. But if you just ask a question, question, question, it creates like this interview mode, which is— I'm not saying he's doing that exactly because he's only asked the second question, um, but it's, it's just not really super convo-friendly.
But I gotta go back to my friend, but you don't have a man, Rich. Why not?
He says he has to go back to his friend. Uh, I just, I don't agree with it. I don't agree with just cutting this convo short like that. I mean, he's just getting started. He just got her warmed up with the teasing. Uh, I, yeah, I think there's so much he could do here to get a convo because the thing is that regardless of what happens, whether he gets to the number or not at this point, Like, what does she have to go off of with you? Like, nothing. Like, just your looks and the fact that you had the balls to say hi to her. Like, that's nothing. So like, it just makes for flaky numbers. I, I just noticed it's a lot more solid if you can get at least 5. I, I'd like 10, ideally 10 minutes or more, um, convo going just to keep it back and forth, just so she has some sort of reference. You can build some sort of rapport with her. In that moment and just really build things. And maybe she's a little bit on the neutral part, but towards the end of the convo, you can get her more attracted to you just, just by letting her see your personality and just putting more things of intent and different things like that. So far, he just went up to her and just asked a couple questions, and now he's like, oh, I gotta go. But, you know, and then it's just getting to this point. Uh, but then he asks why you're single. I'm not crazy about that. I think that, I think it just doesn't serve a purpose, like, other than finding out if she's single or not. But the thing is, the truth is that most women, they're gonna tell you if they're seeing somebody or they have a boyfriend, most of them, okay? And if they don't, then that's on them, you know what I'm saying? Like, but they wouldn't even say it. They wouldn't even— if they lied about that, then they would also lie about, you know, telling them that they're single. So anyways. But it's one of those things, it's like it just doesn't serve a purpose because now it's like, hey, why are you lonely? Why aren't you, you know, caught up? What's wrong with you? It's basically kind of like the side thing of what you're doing. It's like, oh, why are you single? It's like it just doesn't help, you know? And it doesn't help you either, you know what I'm saying? So it's like, I don't, I don't agree with asking why, you know, why are you single, you know what I'm saying? Um, maybe asking are you single, that's fine. But at the same time, I think even asking are you single Um, you know, she'll tell you, she'll tell you if she has a boyfriend.
Okay, well, now that I'm here, we can—
I do like the, uh, second, uh, injection of intent. I think it's good. Um, kind of early but kind of not. I kind of like it, I kind of like it. It— the timing's all right, the timing's all right. Uh, I like to space the intents out a little bit more, but again, he's kind of On this rush. All in all, like, yeah, it's great because that's another common thing. Because like once guys finally get brave enough to talk to the girl, they bring up the intent the first time and then they never do. And it could sometimes end up in a friendly conversation. And then by the time you ask for the number, sometimes it could, it could even feel like random, like, wait, what? Oh, you're actually interested in dating me? And like, it can get kind of like strange in that sense. I do like how he brings up intent again. So I think that's good to do throughout the conversation, a little bit more spaced out, but again, I like it. I'm actually not opposed to that. I think that's, that was a good, smooth intent. So we'll hear that again.
Okay. Well, now that I'm here, we can, we can come up with it. Well, I don't do IG. I don't have IG.
I like how he says he doesn't do IG or have IG. I don't know how true that is, but I think that's great. I don't like settling for IGs in general because unless your IG is amazing, which it should be, but it's one of those things where it's like then you got to slide into the DMs. It's just so much extra work just to try to get her on the date. And it's also kind of like a set and forget. You know what I'm saying? It's like a nice thing to do, but it just doesn't help overall. And so I'm not crazy about The whole IG thing, so I like how he doesn't say that. I like how he asks for the number. That's that's great, and he puts out his phone and hands it to her. Textbook amazing. Yes.
Great stuff. I think it's a distraction in today's day and age. That is. And I'm looking to get personal with you, so that's why I'm grabbing your number.
I like that. Okay, so he does have an IG, um, and he says, you know, he wants to get personal with you. So like, that's cool. So he confidently explains why he doesn't do IG, and he's like, I want to get personal with you. And because he does it in a, in a way that is calm, confident, and matter-of-factly, that masculine energy, she flows into it. It's like, oh, okay. Because feminine energy is gonna Follow masculine energy, and I think I think he did a good job just explaining it in a calm way.
Adrian, I'm Sten. Nice to meet you. How young are you?
So all in all, not bad. I mean, that was like a minute interaction. I really would give this a coin flip on if she's actually gonna go on a date with him or not. I really I really would give it to him if. He held it for at least 5 minutes, 10-minute convos. Um, because then I'd be like, yeah, it's, it's on. Like, I can, I can tell, like, like, she's gonna totally go on a date with him. But I give it a coin flip. I feel like he— I'll give it more on his side because he actually had some pretty good game, uh, overall. Um, and just the fact that he's just being social in general and all that, I think it's great. Um, but yeah, so that's a breakdown. Hopefully you guys like that, and I'll try to do more of those.
