In this informal YouTube monologue, John Cordero walks viewers through practical steps to improve their dating app and Instagram profiles. He emphasizes that photos are the most critical element, recommending 3–4 solo shots that showcase personal hobbies, are taken by someone else (or a stand) rather than selfies, and include a medium or full‑body view with an honest display of physique. He advises using high‑quality images taken in appealing locations (e.g., rooftops, downtown spots) and suggests asking a woman for feedback on the best shot. Cordero also stresses the value of social proof photos—pictures with friends, family, or pets—to convey lifestyle and personality. For the written bio, he recommends keeping the tone light, fun, and aligned with the user’s dating goals, avoiding overly serious statements like immediate marriage intentions. He concludes by offering a checklist (linked in the description) that summarizes the key actions: solo activity photos (non‑selfie), social‑circle photos, pet photos, and high‑quality images, encouraging viewers to audit their own profiles against this list.

Hey, what's up guys? Today I want to talk about dating profiles, how to utilize them, and what to do when it comes to them. So to keep it really, really simple, guys, it's really about the photos. That is like the main thing. And what you really want is you want a couple of photos, about 3 or 4, where it's by yourself and it's doing the things that you love. So, you know, if you like baseball, then have one with a— with you being out there in a baseball game, or, you know, anything like that is going to help you go identify with your hobbies and who you are as a person, and it just shows off a little bit of your personality. Also, one thing to keep in mind, if you can get photos that are not Selfies. They're a better— if you can, just bring a friend with you at a nice, you know, outing or something like that and have them take a picture of you. Just medium shot. It could be from the waist up or it could just be full body. It doesn't matter. But that's super crucial because it just looks better in general. Now, if you can't, selfies are okay, but it just looks better overall if you go with the shot where someone else takes it, or if you have a stand Cool, you can do that as well. So, I mean, I'm using a stand right now. Utilizing that stuff goes a long way. And also make sure that you have a good body picture. So basically show off a little bit of your physique, especially if you work out, which hopefully you guys are all improving your physique. But whatever it is, you know, if you— if your body's not like totally up there, still show off a little bit of physique because because we don't want to try to catfish them or anything crazy like that. Like, if you have some chub, own it up, it's all good. But just to get a good idea of what our body composure looks like, uh, we don't want— I know on the counter part of it, and like, you don't want to get catfished whenever, you know, there's a really fat chick and she ended up taking a picture, you know, 5 years ago and she has wrinkles and she has 200 pounds extra. You don't want that, right? So make sure you keep it honest. One physique picture is good, um, and that's gonna go a long way. Higher the quality, the better. Um, if you guys don't go out much, I would suggest that you guys actually go out for this. So a nice rooftop lounge, uh, if you guys have a downtown area, go to the downtown area. Just go to some nice spots. Go with a friend, have you guys take pictures, different angles, you know, get an idea. If you can, just ask a woman like, you know, which one they think is the best because they have a good eye for that. And that's pretty much it. So make sure that you guys do that. Pictures go so far in dating profiles and IG. Also too, something else that helps with pictures is that you want to have pictures with your friends, you know what I'm saying? If you have a good social circle, even if it's family, family or friends, you want to have pictures with them because it just shows a good idea. Also, something that is like super, super awesome to show is pets. So if you have a dog, if you have a cat, show it off. Women melt when it comes to animals, and it's just going to be a good fit and also describes your lifestyle and what you like. So, you know, show a little picture, show a little bit of, of your personality throughout this, and it's just going to help go a long way. And as far as what to say in a profile, you know, that depends on your goals, you know what I'm saying? Like, if you're, you know, just wanting to vibe, I would always keep it light and keep it fun. Those are the 2 main rules. So you don't want to say things like, oh, you know, I'm looking for a marriage right now, you know what I'm saying? In 2 weeks, you know, I'm using a drastic example here. But you want to keep it fun. You want to keep it like, you know, looking for a woman that, you know, can keep up with me, you know, as I go through life, you know, adventure-wise. And I'm just coming off of this off the top of my head, but something that's fun, light, and kind of just intriguing to some degree, that's going to be helpful and it's going to really set it off. So that's pretty much what I have for you guys in this video. Hopefully you guys take advantage of that. My challenge for you guys right now is look at your profile, look at your IG, make sure that you have that checklist. And I actually put a checklist resource down below this so that you guys have that. So 3 photos of you by yourself, hopefully not a selfie, you know what I'm saying? Different spots doing what you love, that's gonna help. Photos with friends, family. Awesome. If you have pets, photos with pets. Those things are going to go a long way, and it's going to really elevate your profile game. And the higher the quality, the better. All right, that's all I have for this video. See you guys in the next.
