A Division I soccer scholarship requires more than playoff success. College coaches need multiple exposures: showcases, verified video, in-person meetings, and camps. You have to email, text, and call coaches constantly to stay on their radar.

What are the chances of you playing Division I soccer if you're on an ECNL team that is going to playoffs? So again, this question comes back to time under exposure. Did the coaches see you at the showcase and how many times did they see you? So just going to playoffs means absolutely nothing. Did you email the schools before? Have you started texting with the schools? Have you had a phone call with the school? Have they seen multiple videos? You killing it at one showcase is not enough to get recruited. They need to have seen video of you, confirm that the video is what you are in person, then having seen you in person for 20, 30 minutes at a showcase, which would be a lucky amount of time, review your video again see you at a camp, and then they recruit you. So the answer is, if you're going to playoffs for an ECNL or MLS team, that is not enough on its own to get recruited. You need to also communicate with them in a very real, aggressive way. If you want more help, give me a call. Links in the bio. Bye.
