Sophomore goalkeepers need different recruiting videos than field players: training footage, corner and goal kick clips, every-touch sequences, mic-up recordings, and GoPro angles from behind the goal. ID camps matter because coaches can work closely with goalkeepers in small groups. Target Division 3 or 2 programs, though Division 1 is possible with strong video.

Do the type of videos vary or differ if you're a goalkeeper who's a sophomore? The answer is absolutely. Goalkeepers need way different video. They need training video, they need videos of just corners, of just goal kicks. They also need every-touch videos too. You also need mic'd up versions of yourself. A GoPro behind the goal is really helpful. When you go to a game, it's very unlikely that you're going to be super involved unless your team has the ball out of the back, in which case you're going to use your feet more than anything else, or you're getting shot on all the time. So ID camps for you guys are really important because at an ID camp, the coach gets to work with not that many. Limit the number of goalkeepers and they get really close and personal. So camps for goalkeepers are really helpful, but goalkeeping is completely different. If you're playing Eastern RL as a sophomore, aim for D3, D2. Doesn't mean you can't play Division 1, but I would need to see your video, so send it to me in the link in the bio. If you want more help, give us a call, link in the bio. Bye!
