The Olympic Development Program gives you better competition and some college coach exposure, but it's not enough on its own. Showcases and ID camps matter more for getting recruited. ODP looks good on your resume as a regional elite player.

Is ODP good enough to play college soccer? So ODP is worth paying for and doing the extra bit for because one, you'll play against better players. Two, they sometimes have college coaches come to like ODP events. Not very many, but it does happen. But the big thing is putting it on your email and your resume, which should just be in your email, no separate resume, is helpful. It recognizes that within your region you are one of the higher level players. So I would recommend ODP. Now if you're gonna miss a showcase for ODP or even an ID camp, then there's a debate to be had because ODP does have limited exposure. It's just something you put on a piece of paper that is good. If you want a list of the best teams in your state that can help you get exposure, comment the word state and I'll send you an entire list.
