A coach tells sophomore soccer players to start recruiting now, not junior year. Wear the same outfit to ID camps so coaches remember you. Play in elite leagues like ECNL, and also look at Division II and III schools.

If you're a sophomore and you're a girl soccer player, what are the top 3 things you should be doing? Number 1, you must understand that as a sophomore you're actually a junior. Most of the time the offers are going to come during girls' junior years for the best schools, so you don't get senior year. So as a sophomore, you're actually a junior. Number 2 is whenever you go to an ID camp, wear your hair or your clothes consistent on both days. Sometimes the coaches don't remember your names, but they remember the color of your braids or they remember the color of your shirt. And the way we learned that is because we've helped a lot of girls play college soccer, and a lot of the girls we've helped play college soccer are now the coaches at college camps, and this is the feedback they give us. Number 3, if you're not playing ECNL or GA or ECNL RL, playing Division I soccer is basically out of the question. So that doesn't mean you should not still aim for Division I, but it does mean you cannot only aim for Division I. You must aim for Division II and Division III First, if you would like a list of girls teams in your area, comment the initials of your state, for example, CA for California, and the word club, and it will give you every list of California clubs in your area. If you would like a list of every single college in your area, comment CA colleges. If you'd like a list of camps in your area, comment CA camps. Now you can only comment one of those. And the final one is, if you'd like to speak to me, call me, links in the bio.
