A center-back's highlight video should open with a line-splitting pass, not blocks or clearances. Follow with a brief self-introduction, then show more examples of playing out of the back, simple passing, tackles, and recovery pace. Recruiters care about distribution and intelligent play, not raw defensive actions.

How should you break up your highlight video if you're a center back? So the very first clip of your video should be you passing out of the back in a beautiful way where they come to you and you've drawn pressure, then you play a ball through lines or a banger. A header goal can work as well, but a banger would be the best. Then it should cut straight to your self-interview and a little intro page about you, then get back to you playing out of the back. Then after playing out of the back, you can show us moments where you're passing balls simply or tackles or recovery pace. But don't show us a bunch of blocks at the beginning of your video. Blocking does not help us. Clearing the ball off the line is also not really that impressive. We need to see you passing the ball through lines.
