In this monologue, the speaker rebukes the notion that soccer players should wait until high school to begin the college recruiting process. He argues that elite youth players—those competing in ECNL or MLS NEXT and maintaining strong academic records—should start engaging with college coaches as early as 8th grade. He cites examples such as UNC already extending offers for the class of 2025 and Notre Dame having exhausted its recruiting budget for that class, indicating that programs are taking notes on prospects well before they become seniors. The speaker also mentions that some schools have previously broken NCAA recruiting rules, reinforcing the urgency to get on coaches’ radars early. He repeatedly warns against delaying recruitment until 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, labeling each delay as a progressively worse idea. The video concludes with a call to action, inviting viewers to contact him via a link in his bio for further assistance with college soccer recruitment.

This guy says, "No, you don't. Stop putting more pressure on these kids." I always say start 9th, 10th grade, start making choices. Look, we all love your comments, so keep commenting. I love the hating. Keep on the hating. Or positive feedback, however you want to put it. I don't make the rules, okay? I'm just showing you what college coaches are sending to my students, and they are sending to my students that they want to know who they are in 8th grade if they're an elite soccer player. If you're not quite an elite soccer player at your age group, then yes, you should probably wait until 9th or 10th grade. But if you are playing in ECNL or MLS NEXT and you have very good grades, you should be starting the process as soon as possible because you are going to be better than a lot of the kids going to some of these camps and you're going to be improving at a higher rate so that you will have a better chance of getting recruited. To give you an idea, UNC are pretty much all— have already made many offers and commitments for their class of 2025. Notre Dame have already run out of money for the class of 2025 according to the resources that I have seen thus far. This means that they can recruit kids as soon as freshman and sophomore year. Not officially, right? They're not messaging them or calling them, but they are taking notes on them. I can also tell you that I know schools that have broken the rules before, and it's not the first time, and it's not going to be the last time. So if you're an elite-level soccer player, I strongly advise don't wait till 9th and 10th grade. And frankly, if my process of getting angry at you for not starting in 8th grade makes you get started in 9th grade, then I've still done a pretty damn good job. Because do not wait until 10th grade. That is not a good idea. Do not wait until 11th grade. That's a terrible idea. And definitely don't wait until 12th grade. That is the worst idea. If you want more help playing college soccer, give me a call. Link's in the bio. Thank you very much, Artsy. I love your feedback. I really appreciate it. Keep on the punches. Give me some more punches to the jab, to the chest, and I'll talk soon.
