A soccer recruiting coach explains his process for initial calls with prospects: he watches film, assesses their level, then deliberately makes college soccer sound grueling to filter out uncommitted players. If they stay interested, he moves to an aggressive weekly plan to get them recruited and matched with the right school.

This guy asked me, what do you talk about when the students call me? So I have a lot of case studies where I literally just put the whole raw video on, on TikTok here of just me talking to students. So if you really want to see, you could just scroll through any of the videos that say like Part 25 Junior, Part 25 Sophomore, Freshman, 8th Grader, then you can see what I talk about. On the first initial call, I'm trying to see if I can actually help you because I don't want to— if I can't help you, then what's the point? So I diagnose you, I watch your video, and I say what level do I think you can play. Then we have a discussion. If we're on the same page, then maybe we're the right fit. Then I try and scare you away from playing college soccer because I explain all the work that you have to do, and if I'm able to scare you away, then you're not the right person to work with me. And then finally, I show you how it is that I do the recruiting process with my kids, how we write our emails, how we do our videos, how we communicate with coaches, how do we stay organized. And then after the discussion, you decide and I decide are we the right fit to work together in order to play college soccer? And if we're the right fit to work together, then we start talking every single week. And we're very aggressive, very aggressive, very quickly, because I want us to get results and I want you to get recruited ASAP. And I want you to find the right school for you. If you want more help, call me, links in the bio.
