A recruiting coach outlines how a 16-year-old elite soccer player with a 3.8 GPA should contact colleges. Start with Babson, NYU, and Tufts, then email 5 to 30 more schools with a specific question about attending a fall game. Lack of response usually means video quality, email wording, or fit, not talent.

These are 3 schools I would email if I was 16 years old playing ECNL with a 3.8 GPA or higher. Number 1, Babson. Number 2, NYU. Number 3, Tufts. These are some of the best academic programs that are also very good at soccer. If you don't get a response, it does not mean you are not good enough. It can mean that your video's not right. It can mean that your email wasn't well said. And it could also mean you're not good enough. But you don't know the answer until you're told no. You wanna identify about 5 to 30 more schools and send an email to them and ask them the following. I'm working on coming to a fall game. Is there a game you recommend I attend? This is a question that can invoke an answer, which is great. You would be considering go to one of those schools' games because they're all really good schools and you'd be lucky to get invited. These are D3 schools, so they can respond to any which way they like. And while they may not be able to spend time with you, you can maybe say hello and they know you're super interested 'cause you're willing to come to a game, and so they're more likely to watch your video and respond. If you would like a list of schools that are in your state, comment the initials of your state, for example, IN for Indiana, and then the word college as one word, IN college, and I'll send you a list of every single school in your state. If you'd like a custom list of schools, give me a call. Links in the bio. I'll talk to you soon. Bye.
