How to play college soccer at Duke. If you want to play college soccer and you want help, give me a call. Links in the bio. Let's get into it. So I interviewed a female soccer player not that long ago and asked her, who she'd committed to Duke, how did you get committed? And the big thing she had said over and over again was many videos, not just one highlight video, but over and over again, as well as having very good grades. She had gone to multiple ID camps, two of them, and they saw her showcases, and her coaches had to speak to Duke. So that's what can it take. We have a student who's in discussion with Duke, who was in discussion, this was last year, and this was the email that they got back. Thank you for the note. We're looking to bring in a 9, oh sorry. Thank you for the note. We're looking to bring in around 9 players for '24. Okay, so first of all, it was such a great email that we got to them because now we know, holy Christ, they're trying to bring in a whole new team. That's crazy. And so far, when this email was written, which by the way was in June of 2023. We only have one commit who is a center back. We have 3 attacking grad players that will graduate at the end of the fall. We're looking for forwards and attacking-minded players for 2024. Please let me know if you have any more questions. So this is their way of saying, look, we're very interested in you, but we're also looking for a lot of players, and we like your subject line. That's really what stood out to them. And now for this player, Duke is not realistic academically. The reason we were emailing them is certain schools have a certain number of points, you could say, that can really help you through the admissions. Duke is one of those schools where you still have to have really good grades. You cannot have a 3.0 or a 2.8 and they just force you through admissions. You still have to have really good grades. So with this student at the time, you know, they were floating around the 3.0 area. Duke's not realistic, but we had sent them an email. Because maybe they could be a reference, maybe we would like them in a different way, maybe in future years we might want to be flirting with them, but it's really not realistic. Now as it happens, the assistant coach of Duke and I played pro soccer together. He's a really great guy. They run an amazing program, and if you have the chance to go to their ID camp, I strongly recommend it because they run a very good ID camp where they will give you amazing feedback, and they are a legendary program. So if you want more help playing college soccer, Give me a ring, links in the bio, and I'll talk to you soon.
