College soccer showcases can get you noticed, but only if coaches already know you're coming. Email coaches before the event, and for Division I programs, try to hit both the school's ID camp and showcase to maximize your chances of getting recruited.
What is better, showcases or ID camps for college soccer? In simple terms, showcases are always greater than camps. However, you have to understand that showcases does not guarantee you will be seen. So you must email schools well before the showcase in an effort to get their attention before the showcase. But if a coach sees you and watches you at a showcase versus watches you at a camp, You're more likely to move the needle towards getting an offer if you're seen at a showcase. The truth is, especially for Division I, you're gonna need to go to their camp to make them come to your showcase. Or you're gonna have to get seen at their showcase for them to tell you, we didn't see enough of you, but we really liked you. Could you please genuinely come to our ID camp?
