Call me link in bio

A recruiting mentor teaches a soccer player how to email a college coach back. Thank them, mention something specific like an ECNL shutout, and say you'll attend their ID camp. It shows you're serious without sounding desperate.

This coach emailed me, which is pretty exciting, but also maybe not that exciting. I can't really tell in the email. Hmm, let's see. They're not over the moon about you, but they still are interested in you. So what do I say? I don't want to sound desperate, but I also don't want to lose this opportunity. So for this email, what you're going to do is you're going to thank them. Then you're going to say something genuine. We should probably go look up their games online and say something genuine. And then we're going to mention one fact about ourselves. I don't want us to mention an opinion like, I believe I'm a good fit for your team. That's too almost condescending and cocky. Instead, you're going to tell them a fact like, this weekend you kept a shutout in the ECNL game. Let's mention that, and then let's also mention that we're going to work on their coming to their ID camp so they know we're actually serious about them. But they didn't even invite me for a visit. Is that a bad sign? Not necessarily. We need to go to the ID camp to see, one, if you like them, but also to see if they truly like us. And ID camps are one of the few ways where we can almost guarantee that they're gonna watch us, especially since we've received this genuine interest. Really? But they're coming to our ECNL Showcase in a few months' time. Well, just because they're on the list to come to the showcase doesn't mean they'll actually show up. Their flight could get canceled or something could happen. On top of that, there's so many girls. How are we gonna make them come to your game? I think if we consider going to their ID camp and they like you, they'll be much more likely to actually come watch you at the showcase. Okay, so I'll thank them, I'll mention one or two things about how I'm doing now, and then I'll even explain that I'm interested and working on coming to their ID camp. Perfect. You're showing interest without looking desperate, just like they did. If you want more help, call me. Links in the bio. And don't forget,
