A college recruiting consultant offers to audit soccer players' recruiting emails and highlight videos, claiming the first 5-10 seconds usually kill interest. He says his service generates 25-30 genuine college interests within a month, backed by a three-month refund guarantee. He played JV soccer before earning a Division I scholarship.

Even if you start out with no interest, it's very possible you could go from zero to getting interest with 25 schools. And to be honest, part of this is my specialty. And one of the reasons my specialty is when the moment we get on a call with a family, we do what's called an audit. I need to read every email you're about to send, have sent, about to send, have sent, and then I need to look at your video. And 95% of the time, your guys' videos are too short at the beginning or too long at the end and don't have it in the right order. And I just got off a call with Rod, who's the head coach of Occidental, and he expresses the importance of making sure that first 5 to 10 seconds is phenomenal, otherwise they're not gonna watch it. So once I fix your email and your video, this is assuming you're good at soccer and you're playing above the NPL, ECNL, RL level, or equal to it, pretty much our kids go from very few responses to 25 to 30 within the month. Now I even have a guarantee that if you get no genuine interest within the first 3 months, that I'll actually refund you. Now this does not mean an offer, 'cause I don't want to send you to some no-name school in the middle of Iowa, but I want you to get genuine interest from schools you care about. Some of that interest might be You're not good enough, please go do this. Some of that interest might be, we really want to see you at ID camp and break the rules as a D1 school. You deserve an answer, that's the point. When I was going through the recruiting process, I never even made my high school team. I played JV soccer until I was a junior, and I wanted a chance. I just wanted the coaches to say to me, you know what, you're not good enough, and I could have lived with that. But what I wanted was the opportunity to be seen. And I was fortunate enough that when I finally did get seen, I got a full ride scholarship to play Division 1 college soccer, and I really want the same for you. So if you comment the word "call," we can set up a call. Better yet, I want you to comment the word "review," because then I can go through your video in my DMs on Instagram, and now we can have a real discussion on what level you should be aiming for.
