For MLS NEXT players with a 3.5+ GPA seeking college recruitment, get your coach's voice in highlight reels, make ten every-touch videos showing both good and bad plays, invite college coaches to MLS NEXT events three weeks ahead, and reach out via link in bio for help.
If you're playing MLS NEXT and you have above a 3.5 GPA, please listen to what I'm about to tell you. First of all, if you're not being recruited, you're probably doing something wrong. I don't know what it is yet, but we need to figure it out. Number 2, be sure that you get your coach in your highlight video. It's a massive game changer. We had our students do it multiple times. They get great feedback. They don't need to be in the video for long, but get their voice complimenting you in your video ASAP. Please make 10 every-touch videos. This is a video where it shows your good and your bad moments. Number 4, MLS NEXT events are more important than showcases. So please make sure that you are inviting coaches 3 weeks before the MLS NEXT events and you're getting confirmations that they're actually going to be coming to your games. Do not wait to just go to the game, ball out, and hope they pick you. There's too many kids. Most of you are still not going to play college soccer. If you want more help, give me a call. Links in the bio. Talk to you soon.
