The College Talker warns U.S. soccer players to skip the Exact ID camp in London because American coaches rarely scout there. He recommends Future 500, Masters ID Camp, 60 Total Top Academic, and Totally About ID instead, and stresses that direct coach contact and email follow-up matter more than any camp.

What ID camp would I tell you to never, never go to? I'm the College Talker, and I help you play college soccer in under 60 seconds. The Exact ID camp in London, which some of you will be invited to, is a camp that I would never, ever recommend until I am proven otherwise. And the reason being, college coaches must see you in person. It is very rare that they will be flying to London to go see American players. If they're going to London, they're going to go see international players. That is the whole point. So do not fly all the way to London in order to get recruited by an American team. Instead, if you want to go to an Exact Camp locally, there's an argument for that. We've had players have success from it. I do not love this camp very much, to be completely honest. They, when they give you feedback, they do not tell you what division you can play. They just give you feedback like, you should work on this, you should work on that. And while that is very valuable, we don't really care, is the truth. We just want to know if they're going to recruit us and what level they think we can play. They also don't give you a lot of time for feedback after the camp. It's a really big organization. They do multiple sports. So I would recommend other camps like Future 500, Masters ID Camp, 60 Total Top Academic and Totally About ID camps I think are better than the Exact. However, if you're going to go to Exact, please go in 8th, 9th, 10th grade, and then make sure you follow up with them. If you do not follow up with the coaches, it was literally a waste of money. They will not respond to you right away. You must follow up. Remember, this is about creating a— this is about creating a relationship with the coaches, and by starting them to see your face at a camp, that is like, you know, not as good as it's not as An email is not going to be able to do that because, right, they get to see you in person. But it's a more powerful email in a sense, because if you email them, they get to know you. That's great. But in seeing them in person, they're now got a face to a name. So camps are great just for them to get to know you and then start to monitor you. If you want more help, comment, call, and we schedule a call with you and your parents.
