A freshman making varsity on an East RL team looks good locally, but college coaches don't trust that label because team quality varies too much. They want to see video or watch you play in person.

Is it good that I'm in the East RL as a freshman and made varsity? So making varsity doesn't really matter. It kind of matters, meaning like you're pretty good clearly within your group, and that's great for you as a player, right? You're going to get better. But if you didn't make varsity, college coaches don't really care because you might be playing for one of the best high school teams in the country, or you might be playing for one of the worst country teams in the country. So making varsity isn't really that helpful. As a freshman, playing East RL is great depending on what level you want to play. Are you going to be playing for Maryland or UCLA? Probably not, but maybe you will be because you might be a really good soccer player. And so the reason I bring that up is when college coaches look to judge you, that is what they think. They go, East Carroll, probably not going to play UCLA, but is he still good? I don't really know, I need to see him in person. So if you ask me, is this good? I'm going, I don't really know, I need to see video. That's what every college coach is thinking. So I'm going to say it varies per player, can you please book a call? Varies per player, can you please Book a call so we can see video. And that's really what I need to do.
