What do college coaches look for in a goalkeeper? Let's do it. Here we go. This is the Cal State LA goalkeeper. One thing we've already talked about, communication, talking, and being very conscious even when the ball is right here. Here we go. We got some action. He's got to set his feet, stop backing up, but he's done well enough. So goal kicks. One of the things that we like to see actually is when the ball's out of bounds, we want your posure. Like maybe the ball— it's been really hectic. Take your time. Very good. Very good feet. Good technique. And he doesn't need to be involved much longer with the ball. And he steps up and he's still talking a bit and just very conscious. But his team is dominating, so might not have a lot to show you. I have to be honest, I don't look at goalkeepers all that often. It's amazing how uninvolved you are, meaning you're not really touching the ball. However, you have to always be ready. Goal kick, pretty easy. They might have to pass back to him. How's his composure? No problemo. Easy peasy in this particular game for him.
