Not to brag, but I'm a beast when it comes to helping kids get recruited. If you paid me $100,000 for one piece of advice, this is what it would be. If you're getting 3 to 5 phone calls per year, you have an 80% more likely chance of getting recruited to Division 1 schools. Now, getting 3 to 5 phone calls is not easy, especially at the beginning, so that's why you don't aim for Division 1, Division 2 right away. And for many of you, you can't receive information back from them anyways. So focus on the Division 3s. If you're getting constant feedback from those schools, the chances that other schools hear about you, that you're more confident with your playing ability because you're getting recruited, and that when you go to an ID camp with Division 1 schools and the Division 3 coach comes up to you and says, hey, how are you, it was nice to speak to you the other day, that the other Division 1 schools are gonna take notice.
