A high school goalkeeper emailed dozens of college coaches starting in 9th grade and landed offers from Division I and Division III schools. He made highlight reels and training videos that showed specific skills like handling and 1-v-1 situations, then chose Haverford College for the fit.
How do you play college soccer at Haverford? This legend story is amazing because he did exactly as I would have asked him to do because he's a legend. Let's hear him. Boss, how are you playing at one of the top academic schools in the country? Tell us how you did it.
Okay, so I started in 9th grade. 9th grade!
Did you guys hear that? 9th grade.
Sending hundreds of emails every couple months, just racking up the offers, racking up the interest from coaches. And then as I went, I started taking, uh, some visits. I had some, some D1 and some D3 offers. I sort of decided like internally what was best for me, uh, like school-wise. Took some visits, see which schools I liked, and I settled upon Haverford. I'm excited for the fall, excited for the season.
This gentleman is a goalkeeper, so he also had to make different kinds of videos. Can you tell us what kind of videos you'd made?
Yeah, so I had, you know, your standard like game highlight videos, and I had some videos from just training sessions so I could showcase like— because, you know, in games you don't get to see every situation every game. So it's like I had videos from training sessions where I could show off my handling or my 1v1s, that sort of thing, like things that I wasn't getting tested on in games. So that way I could really give coaches like a full picture.
Legend. One more thing, I'm super excited to watch him play. He's gonna kill it. I got to shoot on him today. He's a very good goalkeeper. And if you guys want more help playing Call of Tarkov, give us a call. Bye.
