Scouting a short player to see if they can play college soccer. This is Malibu High School against Buckley, and there's our first pass. You're going to see him here in a second. This number 2 here, watch this pass through ball. Super good IQ. Wait, it's— sorry, it's the next clip right here. Good soccer IQ. So look, we make adjustments and we make decisions within 3 to 5 seconds often. Right now, I don't know his grade or his GPA, but Division 3 soccer is definitely in the cards, assuming he's a freshman or a sophomore. If he's a junior, it still could be possible. I don't think he's a senior, obviously. He's got some great moments here because we get to see him always trying to pass, even though the field isn't great, like in this instance. Okay, he fell over, but look how he gets right back up, which is gonna happen. And I am 5'4", so I have a bias towards players who might be shorter. This is why it's important you find the right coach who will like you for what you are and who you are. If you want more help, give me a call. Links
