I play MLS Next 2. I have a 3.8 GPA. Can I play Division 1 college soccer? So if that's your subject line, it would gain interest for sure because you've got great grades and playing MLS Next 2 is great. If you're a junior, I would tell you that Division 3 or Division 2 is possible. Division 1 might be out of reach. If you are a senior, then you're definitely really late to the process and Division 3 or Division 2 is pretty much your only option. If you're a sophomore, it is possible you could still play Division 1 soccer. If you're a freshman, you could still play top 25 Division 1 soccer. And if you're in 8th grade, you could still play for a top 5 school. And the reason I say that is because if you start earlier, you have that much more time to let the coaches know who you are. You have that much more time to get better at soccer and to find a new club team, and that much more time for the coaches to get to know you as a human. It is not just about them getting to know you as a player. They must think you're a good person and you're going to work really hard. Because remember, college soccer, you're a student, then you're an athlete.
