An 8th grader wants to play pro soccer but needs to satisfy parents about education. College soccer offers a path to both: pick ten schools, attend their ID camps, check their track record of producing pros, and keep grades up to stay eligible.

Pretend you're in 8th grade. You say to yourself, I want to be a pro soccer player. But your parents are like, hey, you gotta get an education. So you come to an agreement to say, let's play college soccer. Now your parents are happy because you're going to get an education, and you're happy because you're going to try and play college soccer at the highest level you can in order to go pro. So the first step is, what can you do to play college soccer that will help you go pro? You need to understand that your grades are really important and that 8th grade is not too young to start thinking about college soccer. Create a list of 10 schools that you think you might want to go to. After you've created that list, think about the College ID camps in which those schools will be attending or hosting. Once you start looking up these schools, you're going to understand if you have the level, the grades, and the finances to actually go to those schools. A great piece of advice is to find out if a lot of pros have gone to that college.
