In this monologue, the speaker explains that playing in GA Aspire as a freshman girl does not put you on a realistic path to Division I college soccer; GA Aspire is essentially equivalent to the DPL level. While a GA group affiliation may still allow for Division II or III opportunities, those depend heavily on academic performance and exceptional talent. The speaker emphasizes that recruiting for girls’ soccer effectively ends after the junior year, so freshmen must treat themselves as sophomores in the recruiting timeline. The primary pathway to visibility is through camps: attend Division III ID camps early, submit highlight videos, and consider mass ID camps (e.g., Masters, 60) which are geared toward academically strong schools, though Masters may be too high for most GA Aspire players. Individual school camps are often more accessible, especially when paired with video submissions. The speaker concludes with a call to action, inviting viewers to comment “quiz” for personalized camp recommendations and to use the bio links for further assistance.
