A recruiting roadmap for 9th graders: email Division III schools first, then Division I, expect generic replies, follow up consistently. Use Instagram to tag coaches at camps like NC State. Attend your top two camps each year for two years to build genuine interest from D3 programs.
Number 1 is he has a tournament showcase coming up, and not long after that, he's got a playoff. So this is what we're going to send for the showcase one. Now, mind you, he's in 9th grade, so some coaches will, will respond, some won't. Doesn't matter. This is a touchpoint. You have to do it. So, dear coach, genuine. Then you have the ask. This is the key. We're gonna write something very specific here. We'll show you how to do that. Then we're gonna send this to— I don't even care if they're coming to showcase or not. You're still gonna send this email to the following schools. You can send it to any school you guys like, obviously, but but you're gonna send it to my top academic D3 list. And this will take us about 4 days to send it to the entire list. Then you will send emails to the D1s and it will be to all of them, which will take us a while. Not that long, about 6, 7 days. And especially the schools you want. Now a lot of them will respond generic emails, da da da da. Let them do that. It's like the first punch in a boxing match. They're gonna block it, okay? This is, it takes a while to get them to get their, to let their arms down. So that's what you're gonna do. There are some D2 schools we'll give you a suggestion of, but you don't have to email them, okay? Then camps. He's already going to NC State's camp and he's been going. So this is a school we will constantly update. I want you to DM them on Instagram, the same email that we're gonna send them. I want you to follow them and I want you to tag them in every post you make. And when I say tag them, this means the coaches and the, uh, assistant coaches and the main page, which they'll have a main page. You're gonna tag them in every post that we'll talk about later. Okay? Then if you're open to this camp or this camp or this camp, these are the best camps for you to go to. If I was you, I would tell you to go to these camps every year for 2 years. They're only twice a year, so go to both of them if you can, if you're open to it. That's where you'll get a lot of genuine interest from some high academics and D3s. Then if you have a dream D3, go once. You already have your dream D1, you don't need to go to another dream D1 unless they give you genuine interest, hence why we're gonna start sending those emails. Okay, now he's got a playoff right after that. The playoff deal is the same as the showcase email, it's the same concept. He's just gonna follow up.
