Two coaches compare recruiting platforms for high school soccer players. NCSA blasts your profile to thousands of coaches; The College Soccer Guy emails coaches from your personal Gmail instead, arguing that personal contact beats mass exposure. The key difference: targeted outreach to a few good fits works better than hoping someone finds you in a database.

We need to sign up for NCSA. It's the best way for our son to get seen. Or we could work with somebody like The College Soccer Guy. NCSA has access to thousands of college coaches. They can send our son's profile to every school in the country. Yeah, but how many coaches actually look at those profiles? It's like throwing a dart at a map and closing your eyes and hoping it hits something. Okay, but The College Soccer Guy costs more, and I don't know if he has the same reach. Well, The College Soccer Guy actually has the exact same reach. He has all the emails of every single college coach, but what makes him even more different is He has that system connected to your own Gmail account, so we know we will get better responses because the college coaches, I've been told, don't really like hearing from NCSA. It's also about the right exposure. Do we want to have him impress 100 coaches that we don't even know if they like, or do we want to impress 10 coaches that we know we do like and that like them? What about exposure? Isn't that the whole point? Exactly. A focused approach could save us time and money in the long run. Hmm, so you're saying it's quality over quantity? Okay, let's schedule a call with College Soccer Guy. If his plan makes sense, he'll consider it. And I've heard if you bought NCSA, What did he say before? He gives a discount. Fair enough. We just want what's best for our kids' future, right? Whether you're working with me or any other company, just make sure that your goals are in line with whoever you're working with. You don't need to work with me necessarily, but I do want you to make sure you put the power in your control. And to do that, you must send the emails from your own account and make your own YouTube and make your own Instagram. Do not depend on the platforms to get you recruited. If you want more help, give me a call. Links in the bio.
