Attending ID camps raises your recruitment odds to about 80%, but picking the right one matters. Rate recruiter emails on a 1-to-10 scale for genuine interest, not generic spam. Skip chasing dream schools that ignore you; instead find schools that actually want you and fit your goals.
Every school invites me to an ID camp. How many can I possibly go to? So obviously, to your point, you cannot go to every single one, and we don't want you to go to every single one. Brief side note, I don't get paid if you go to an ID camp or don't, so I don't really care personally if you do or do not go to an ID camp. But if you want to get recruited, statistically speaking, it is proven that if you go to an ID camp, you are 80% more likely to get recruited by X school. Now, recruited does not mean an offer, but it does mean they can show a lot more interest if you want to go to a camp. So to your point, if you're getting a bunch of interest from very many schools saying please come to camp, you need to measure each email out of a scale of 1 to 10 on its level of genuineness. If the email was very robotic, hey, please come to our camp, that's a 1. If they say we loved your video, we're planning to come to your game, we know that we've seen your coach before, coach, and we like your club, well, that's a 10. Then you decide, do you want— which school do you want? Do you want to go to the school that showed you a 1 because it's your dream school, in which case you should go to that one because it's your dream school, but no, they didn't show you any genuine interest? Or did the 10-level school that you don't really like so much show a ton of interest, but it's not on the top of your list? Well, then you can't go to that school. So then you want to find a middle ground. Hopefully your dream school that also shows genuine interest. How do you get this genuine interest? This is when you need to write emails really well, ask certain questions in each one. You have to make lots of soccer highlight videos. And then sometimes it's showcase related.
