Should you be playing MLS NEXT or ECNL? Let's hear directly from a college coach and see what she has to say.
All the time, do we have to play in ECNL in order to get, you know, recruited by colleges? And the answer is no, because it goes back to these players doing their diligence of emailing, right? If you're interested in our school and you've emailed, you know, numerous amounts of times, I'm going to do my best.
Do you hear how she said numerous? Okay, not one time or not two times, numerous. That means 4 to 5 times.
Go out and watch you regardless if you're ECNL, DPL, GA, NPL. Top 20 schools in the country more often than not are looking at ECNL players, right?

There's GA Aspire, there's ECNL, there's NPL, there's DPL. It never changes. It's going to be the same over and over. You have to do what's in your control. Let me tell you what's in your control. Play on the highest level club team you can within your region. Send emails, emails, emails with video, video, video. Go to ID camps. You must go to ID camps and then follow up.
