Player N got a college soccer offer by improving their recruitment package and talking to coaches more. Two paths forward: apply to University of Central Arkansas for spring enrollment when roster spots open, or attend their ID camp on the 14th to meet the coaching staff first. Spring enrollment works as a trial period with low risk of being cut.

Player N might have just gotten an offer. We've been working with Player N for a little bit over a month and a half, and we've already got ourselves an offer. And that was by changing their package, changing the way they communicate with coaches, multiplying how many often we communicate with coaches, and doing it in a College Soccer Guy way. Have you applied to UCA? We have some roster spots open this spring, or can you come to our ID camp? Let me know if you would like, and then we can discuss. So sometimes what happens with these schools is they're more likely to have you come in the spring and sign you because during the spring they lose obviously all their seniors and transfer students and everything else, so they have spots. And if you're in a unique opportunity where you graduate high school early or you're on a gap year and you can go to school in the spring, it's a really good way to join the team. So in this case, the coach is saying, look, if you're potentially ready to sign up for our team right now during the spring and ready to commit to us, apply, and if you get in, or as long as you're close to getting in, maybe we'll help you get in depending on the school situation, then you can come join us in the spring and then you'll be on the team and you'll go to school there and that will be the same as getting recruited. The coach is also saying, well, if you're not really ready to commit like this spring where we do have roster spots available, and the spring is kind of, kind of like a trial. Of course, at that point you'd be going to the school, so, you know, it's a trial in the sense that technically you could come be a roster and technically at any point you can get cut from any team, but it's pretty unlikely. That said, if he is not ready to commit, then there's an ID camp on the 14th where this player could just as well interview them, because you don't want to just commit to a school on a whim, even if it is a D1 school and an offer. You know, you want to get to know the coach, you want to make sure you like it, because you don't want to go to a D1 school if you're miserable and you don't like the coach. So this coach is saying, well, if you'd like a better chance to get to know us, and also, you know, for us to get to know you, why don't you come to our camp? Now, I advise this player that they should apply to school, look it up, and if this is a school they would like to go to, it's University of Central Arkansas, then like they should make the moves and go to the school, and then you'd be done. You'll get recruited, go play D1, and you've done it. Now, if you're not ready to go, then you say to them, look, I'm really interested, etc., but I'm going to come to your camp. Or maybe you haven't finished your grades quite yet. In his case, he could transfer, and you have to go to the camp. But this is great news. If you'd like help with this process, because I'm the College Soccer Guy and I help you play college soccer, uh, call me.
