Division III college soccer is more competitive than most people think. Fewer than 5% of high school players make any college team, and top DIII programs offer better academics and financial aid than many Division I schools.

Division 3 soccer even worth it? This question really bothers me because I think people don't understand how good Division 3 is. Now, of course you want to play Division 1, I think that's great, aim for Division 1, that's what's making you a really good soccer player. If everybody aimed for the quote-unquote lowest level, they probably wouldn't get very good. However, what people do understand is that the top academic D3s are in many cases better than some Division 1 schools, certainly better academically, and they give more money. And you have to remember that while Division 3 is the lowest, technically speaking, of the 3 divisions, it's still really difficult 'cause less than 5% of high school kids will play college sports. So it's really like playing professional soccer, just playing at the lower levels of pro soccer, but it's still fricking pro. There's a lot of Division III schools that maybe many of you have not heard of that are really good. So if you comment the word DIII, I'll send you a list of Division III schools that are really good at soccer and you should probably send a message to.
