Female soccer goalkeepers get recruited earlier than other positions. A freshman is effectively a sophomore in the recruiting cycle, and most offers come by spring of junior year. You need camps, a training video with commentary, game footage with voice, and full-game videos showing every touch.
If you're a girl soccer player and you're a goalkeeper, what should you be doing in order to play Division I college soccer? Number 1, you must understand as a girl that if you are a freshman, you're actually a sophomore. And if you're a sophomore, you're actually a junior. And if you're a junior, you're basically a senior. The girls recruiting process starts so much earlier and it's so much faster. When you're a junior, if you want to play Division I, your recruiting process will be done around the springtime of your junior year in many cases, if not most. So if you're a freshman goalkeeper, you need to know that you're really not a freshman. You're a sophomore, so you need to go to camps. Not only do you need to go to camps, you must have training video. I'm wearing a microphone here. We either need to hear your voice in the training video or we need game footage where we can also hear your voice. And number 3, we're going to need full game videos of you, which we call every touch videos, even as a goalkeeper. And most of that game, you're probably not using your hands, you're probably using your feet. So we need moments of where you have a highlight video, a training video, and multiple Moments of Every Touch videos. If you'd like help, comment 'call' and we schedule a call with you and your parents. If you comment the word 'highlight,' I'll give you a list of things you need to do as a goalkeeper in your highlight video.
