Freshman soccer players are already behind in recruiting because Division I coaches make offers by junior year. Start planning in 8th grade, join elite club teams, create 4-6 highlight reels and 10-12 Instagram clips yearly, and send around 150 recruiting emails. Recent commits to Boston, Portland, and Maryland used this approach.

This is the biggest mistake you're making as a freshman girl soccer player who wants to play Division 1 college soccer. You believe that you are a freshman. In reality, you are a sophomore, and when you are a sophomore, you are a junior. Most Division 1 schools will make their offers and be done with their class in your junior year. So because of that, you need to start thinking about this process in 8th, 9th, 10th grade if you want to play Division 1 college soccer. And when I say thinking about, I'm talking about being on a better club team. I'm talking about having a lot of video. You need 4 to 6 highlight videos per year. I'm on top of the fact you need about 10 to 12 Instagram videos per year, you will also need to write about 150 emails either following up or sending out the first time for showcases, for camps, and potentially for visits and phone calls.
